Located only 5 mins from Edinburgh’s city centre, in the leafy area where Bruntsfield meets Morningside, McLarens on the Corner is the perfect location for your wedding.
Bruntsfield Links and The Meadows are located around a 5-minute walk away from us should you wish to get photos there.
We are very easy to get to. Holy Corner bus stop is located right on our doorstep, and any taxi company including Capital Cabs will be able to bring your guests here.
Our building is steeped in the local history of the area and was converted from an old Bank of Scotland building in late 2019.
With exclusive use of the first and second floors you have the choice of locations for a ceremony, dinner, cocktail bar and dancing.
The Parlour & Tellers Room comprises of 2 beautiful rooms that you can be wed in, which can be combined together for your dining area.
The Loft is a stylish-chic space that requires no extra decorating and has a collection of formal and informal seating options. This area can also be used for reception drinks, as a gathering space after your meal and as a dancing or evening area.#
The beauty of these two spaces is that you can choose one which suits your personality or the ambiance that you would like for your day, or even combine them together. Just speak to our wedding coordinator who will be happy to talk to you about how you would like your day to run.
Each and every wedding at McLarens is personal to us, so no wedding is the same.
Your wedding co-ordinator will work closely with you to ensure that your day runs smoothly and exactly how you envisioned it to be.
On the day, your wedding co-ordinator and an appointed manager will be there to ensure everything runs smoothly and will support you however they can.
We are so lucky to work with wonderful suppliers in our local community so if you are visiting us you have an opportunity to visit a florist, hair stylist, make-up artist and even buy your dress. We can happily give you recommendations, just let us know.
The beauty of a wedding at McLarens is that you are able to enjoy an outstanding dinner with your loved ones as you celebrate your special day.
Our menus use only fresh, high-quality ingredients carefully selected from local suppliers which we bring together to create delicious, interesting gifts.
We will invite you to work with our Events Manager and Head Chef to create a menu specifically for your day, which we can pair perfectly with wine from our cellar. We can also provide you with options and suggestions.
After our dinner you can head up to the Loft for dancing or even a cocktail reception.
Speaking of cocktails, we have a specially created list of cocktails for you to choose from and our McLarens mixologist will make a cocktail especially for you – just tell us your favourite spirits and flavours and leave the rest to us.
From the first time we visited Mclarens we knew that we wanted to get married there and certainly weren’t disappointed. The layout of the ceremony was perfect. It was informal and intimate which is just what we wanted.
The food was exceptional and had massive portions. Other guests commented that it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding and we agree!
A specific thank you also to Ruth who made our experience very low stress. She was very quick to respond to any questions that we had in the build-up to the big day and had good suggestions about how to organise things.
